I really enjoyed The Forgetting Machine by Pete Hautman. Flinkwater is a town of eccentric geniuses, but Ginger Crump notices that townspeople are more absent minded than. She decides that it is none of her business. Until every digital copy of Charlotte’s Web becomes corrupted. Until she is followed by a strange cat with the ability to read. Until her boyfriend doesn’t remember who she is. Time for Ginger to fix the problem. I recommend this fast paced hilarious story to readers in grades three to six. I am thrilled to find it is a sequel to The Flinkwater Factor, which I am checking out right now.
