Services: Computer & Internet Access
Spokane Public Library offers several types of computer and internet access for the public:
- Reserve a computer for Public Internet Access. Hour-long appointments available to valid card holders. Travelers or visitors to the area may obtain a temporary visitor's pass; ask at any Reference and Information Desk. View our Internet Use Policy
- Our WorkSource Spokane Connection site offers personalized job searching assistance
- LibreOffice Software Suites - our libraries offer LibreOffice word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation programs with no time limit or card required:
- Downtown Library - eight computers on the third floor
- East Side Library - four computers
- Hillyard Library - three computers
- Indian Trail Library - two computers
- Shadle Library - four computers
- South Hill Library - two computers
- Public Wireless - available at all Spokane Public Library Branches
- Mobile Access - portions of the Spokane Public Library website are mobile friendly, and you can access the library catalog and your account with the Bookmyne app. To use, search the App Store (Mac) or Google Play (Android) for “Bookmyne” and download it for free to your mobile device (iPhone, iPod or Android). Find and select Spokane Public Library, log in with your library card number and PIN, and you’re all set. You can also place holds on items through Bookmyne
- Subscription Databases - available for in-library use to everyone and remotely to city resident valid card holders or paying non-resident valid card holders
- Public Access Catalogs - available for searching our collection, our databases, and limited internet sites, including all .gov and .edu web sites from within the library
