Historical US Census Data: Many historical census documents and volumes of the Statistical Abstract of the United States are now online.The initial rollout consists of results from the first census in 1790 to the 1860 census. Statistical Abstracts from 1878-1936 and 1953-56 also are online. Missing census reports and Statistical Abstracts will be added as the Census Bureau finishes scanning paper copies of the historical documents.The historical documents are image files that are not searchable, but do include indexes and tables of contents.
