Biography in Context - delivers outstanding research support with nearly a million biographical entries spanning history and geography. This site is a great starting point for information about less well known, or more contemporary people who may not have had a full biography published.
General OneFile - a one-stop source for news and periodical articles on a wide range of topics: business, computers, current events, economics, education, environmental issues, health care, hobbies, humanities, law, literature and art, politics, science, social science, sports, technology, and many general interest topics. Millions of full-text articles many with images. This Gale resource is updated daily.
General Reference Center- use this general interest database to search magazines, reference books, and newspapers for information on current events, popular culture, the arts and sciences, sports, etc. For many titles in this Thomson-Gale resource, indexing goes back to 1980, and full text is available for many of the titles as well.
History Study Center - offers valuable historical reference material that spans from ancient times through today's current events
Opposing Viewpoints In Context - access Opposing Viewpoints articles, topic overviews, statistics,primary documents, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles. This is an excellent place to start looking for information for a research paper. It covers many topics from multiple points of few and provides in depth information.
Proquest Direct - use this general interest database to search magazines and newspapers for information on current events, education, the arts and social sciences, etc. This database includes Washington State Newsstand which has the full text of articles from the Spokesman Review since1995 plus articles from other Washington newspapers.
World History in Context - an engaging online experience for those seeking contextual information on hundreds of the most significant people, events and topics in world history.
Dictionary of American History -This authoritative work serves students, scholars, and general readers interested in a wide range of topics in American history, from the well studied and familiar to the obscure.

Biography and Genealogy Master Index- indexes any print product that includes biographical information on multiple persons. It also acts as an index to other indexes. It can be useful to find out whether or not you will be able to find information easily on a give person.
CultureGrams– fact sheets on countries and states. Culture Grams can be useful when you are looking for information about countries for which there are not very many books published.
Facts.com– news reports on current events, country profiles, and discussion of controversial topics. This is a great site to visit when you are trying to narrow down a topic for a paper or come up with a topic to begin with. It is particularly useful for controversial topics, as there is information from all sides of the issue.
EBSCOhost eBooks - our eBook interface features fiction, travel guides, computer books, Cliff Notes, test study guides, and other high demand books that can be viewed online or downloaded to any device supporting the ePub format
Gale Virtual Reference Library - full-text encyclopedias and other reference sources in a number of subject areas
