If just 2700 people gave $10 each, the library would meet its goal, and yes, the library will gladly take less, or more than $10 -- whatever you can give helps. Stop by the library and drop a donation in the donation boxes at the check-out desks or send us a check. Checks should be written to the Spokane Public Library Foundation. For more information please contact Sandra Kernerman at 444-5318.

The Spokane Public Library Foundation seeks to enhance public funds with private dollars to ensure continued excellence in Library services for the Spokane Community.
All monetary donations should be directed to the Spokane Public Library Foundation. There are donation boxes at the check-out desks in all the libraries for cash donations. Checks should be made payable to the SPL Foundation. The Foundation invests all donations in an endowment for long-term benefit to the library. This is important so that your donation can be useful for many years to come. Visit the Library Foundation's website to learn more.
The Spokane Public Library is a general fund department. This means that our budget is part of the city's general fund and is set by the Mayor and approved by City Council. When you let the Mayor and City Council members know how important the library is to you it helps support our budget.
Subscribing to the library newsletter by email saves us money on printing and mailing copies and keeps you informed about library services and issues.
