You can now download audiobooks (eAudiobooks) from Spokane Public Library to your personal computer!
Borrow 10 at a time -- If you have a valid Spokane Public Library card and a NetLibrary account you can borrow up to 10 downloadable audiobooks at a time. Like other library materials, check-out time is three weeks. (Due to DRM [digital rights management] these audiobooks can not be checked in early or be burned to compact disc.)
Listen on an MP3 device or your personal computer. (Select titles are iPod and Zune compatible.)
More than 2000 titles! -- Locate them using the library’s online catalog or NetLibrary Media Center software. Do a keyword search for the term “downloadable audio” for a current list of titles. Clicking here will show you the results of that search with all downloadable audiobook titles. The library’s collection of downloadable books are published by Blackstone Audio in Ashland, Oregon. Step 1 - Create your NetLibrary Account by clicking here.
Look for the "Create a free account" link in the upper right-hand corner of the page and follow the instructions to create your account.
Step 2 - Install Media Center.

Step 3 - Find and Download (either to your computer or MP3 player).
You can also find items by browsing the library's catalog and looking for the downloadable audiobook icon.
Items will automatically check in from your computer after 3 weeks (they do not expire from your MP3 player).
