Lunar New Year 2023 | Year of the Rabbit

Lunar New Year is celebrated all over the world by many cultures. This year, the celebration begins on January 22. Each lunar year is tied to one of twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac. This year is the Year of the Rabbit. Join us for this joyous Lunar New Year celebration designed for your entire family! Activities include activities for kids, a dragon dance, and cooking demonstrations for dumplings and sushi.

January 14 @ Shadle Park Library (This event has already occurred)

10am: Lunar New Year Storytime and Activities

11am: Dragon dance

12pm: Dumpling cooking demonstration

1pm: How to make sushi on a budget! Presented by students a part of Spokane Public Schools Culinary Program.
