Spokane Public Library Foundation is raising funds through participation in Library Giving Day, a nation-wide effort to support public libraries. This one-day online fundraising event will occur on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, no joke! Library supporters are encouraged to make a monetary gift to support Spokane Public Library services and programs.
The Spokane Public Library Foundation aims to raise $10,000 to support youth initiatives like Summer Reading and 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, digital resources, enhancements to archival and business services, and more.
“Library Giving Day provides a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the value Spokane Public Library provides to the city,” said Jens Larson, Spokane Public Library Foundation board president. “It’s clear that the library’s role extends far beyond books, encompassing economic development, lifelong learning, and community connection. Donors’ support is an investment that helps the library to grow and reach our community in ever more impactful ways.”
Libraries serve as a cornerstone for communities, offering innovative programs that promote lifelong learning, connect customers to technology, introduce children to early literacy and STEM programming, and support the pursuit of knowledge.
