Around the World in a Bowl of Soup | German Goulash

Georg Weimer, the owner of the very popular and long established German restaurant Das Steinhause shares his secret recipe to one of his best-selling soups, the one he calls “German chili”!

Ingredients for German Goulash

1 gallon water

2-3 lb beef diced and braised with Burgundy wine and corn starch.

4 oz Demi-Glace powder

3.5 oz beef base

1 TBSP garlic, finely chopped

1/3 cup majoron

1/3 cup of sweet paprika

1/3 cup of Maggi seasoning

Dash of black pepper

Dash of caraway seeds

1 cup Burgundy wine

4 cups each of Bell pepper, onion, carrots in bite size

6 cups of dice Yukon Gold potatoes
