Lilac City Records is a FREE space where you can explore, listen, and download local music and where musicians can apply to upload all of their hard work! Some music was even recorded in the Media Studios at Central Library.
For library cardholders who want to listen to music…
Simply log in on Lilac City Records using your library card number and PIN, and start listening! You can even download music to listen to offline.
Get to know Spokane’s local artists and don’t forget to send them some love and follow them on their social media channels to keep up-to-date with their shows and new music.
For musicians interested in sharing their music…
Lilac City Records is a dedicated platform for local music and we want to share it with the Spokane Public Library community! Submit a representative track of your album for our team of curators to review.
If approved, your album will be promoted and available to an audience of almost 200,000 cardholders. In addition, artists with approved albums will receive a $200 honorarium per accepted album.

Lilac City Records not only gives local musicians an opportunity to share their music, but it gives library cardholders the opportunity to learn more about and connect with the local music scene in the Spokane-area.
