Throughout the year, you will have opportunities to participate in community reading challenges for events such as Summer Reading, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, heritage months, Pride Month, and so many more.

Beanstack Tips and Tricks
- Participate in challenges for Kids and Adults
- If you are an adult, choose the 19+ option under “Age”
- If you are not in school, find other options like Not Applicable, Not in School, and others
- Use Beanstack to create accounts for everyone in your household and switch accounts by clicking the account name in the top right corner
- You can only add friends who also have accounts through Spokane Public Library. You will be unable to add friends from other libraries
- Challenges contain badges you earn through completing activities
- Challenges like Summer Reading may have certain start dates. Any reading logged before that date will not go toward that challenge
