Have you ever had a late night thought to read a new book or get a movie to watch? Or maybe a library is a bit too far to travel to at that moment. With the 24/7 Library Kiosks, accessing materials has never been so convenient! The kiosks are like giant book vending machines and are full of books and movies suitable for people of all ages.
How does the kiosk work? There are three great ways to interact with each of the 24/7 Library Kiosks!
- Browse the selection in the kiosk and check out a movie or book on the spot.
- Return any item you checked out from the library to the kiosk.
- Place a hold in our online catalog and have it routed to any kiosk near you.
Note for county residents: If you live near a 24/7 library kiosk and are a county resident but not a city resident, you can also get a free Spokane Public Library card to access the kiosks and check out from our physical collections (books, movies, CDs). Visit your nearest Spokane Public Library location to get your free county resident card if you don’t have one already!
Four library kiosks, funded by the 2018 bond, were installed in different areas around the City that may be further away from traditional library locations. The West Central Kiosk was installed in 2018 and funded through private grants and locations.
Artwork on four of the kiosks was created in partnership with Spokane Arts and local artist, Danielle Davis.
