Spokane Public Library provides access to technology, internet, and digital tools to support lifelong learning, creativity, workforce development, and equitable access to information. This policy outlines the appropriate use of Library technology (including public computers, Wi-Fi, media studios, and loanable devices in alignment with the Library’s mission to empower individuals through learning, innovation, and community partnerships. Technology services are available to all Library users with a valid Library card or, with limited functionality, through a guest pass. Public Wi-Fi is available to all users without the need for a Library card. All users must comply with this policy and the Library’s Code of Conduct when using any Library technology. The Library is committed to equitable access, digital literacy, sustainability, and innovation. This policy is reviewed on a regular schedule to ensure alignment with community needs, emerging technologies, and equitable practices.
