Central Library is located in the heart of downtown Spokane with a breathtaking view of the Spokane River & the Monroe Street Bridge. After two years of renovations, the Central Library has been transformed into a citywide hub of innovative 21st century library services including meeting spaces, River Rumpus Children’s Playspace, media studios, a business lab, New Leaf Café, nxʷyxʷyetkʷ Hall, & much more.
We offer Self-Service Hours daily – a period of time where customers can check out books, access computers, use meeting rooms, and more with limited to no staff available.
If you require staff assistance, please visit outside of the above hours.

The entry ramp to the garage is closed 30 minutes prior to the library’s closing time. Customers must be out of the garage by close of business.
