So much learning and development happens in life before children enter kindergarten! Help your little one feel ready to take on the world of school through developing skills in language, math, social-emotional engagement, fine motor movement, and so much more. At the library, we have some tools to get your family started in their journey to feeling kindergarten ready!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Join the challenge to read 1,000 books by the time your little one enters kindergarten! This challenge can be tracked on our paper log or online at spokanelibrary.beanstack.org (make sure you register your child in Beanstack to see the challenge). For every 200 books read, come into any Spokane Public Library location to pick up a commemorative sticker. Once you reach 1,000 books, stop by for a free prize! Instilling a love of reading while a child is young can blossom into a lifelong love of learning.
