Meet your Community Resource Connectors: (from left to right) Mark, Bethiah, Kayla, Sasha, Hunter, and Justin!
Thanks to a partnership with Eastern Washington University, Spokane Public Library provides patrons and community members with access to a trained team of student interns, Peer Service Specialists from Peer Spokane, and a Social Services Manager that can provide support in locating resources for housing, healthcare, employment, mental health, and more. While we do not directly offer these services, we are a connection hub for resources.
Does your business offer help and resources to individuals facing obstacles with housing, healthcare, employment, mental health, or other social services? There may be ways we can help you reach the audience that needs your services the most.
We offer opportunities for partnering organizations to set up resource tables at the library on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis to provide resources to patrons (see upcoming event listing below for examples).
Reach out to Social Services Manager, Bethiah Streeter, to schedule time on our calendar.
We aim to inspire a thriving city through cultural and educational opportunities. As a part of this mission, we plan to create and implement peer/partner networking events and Resource Days in the future. If you or your business is interested in contributing to these upcoming opportunities, contact us!
